Miguel was loved by many and lets not forget by the discord fifa community who called him "Icy". Miguel can be remembered as caring, humble, respectful, noble, intelligent, loyal and many more unique characteristics that made him a wonderful human being. He was a very succesful man; he graduated from Manvel High School and was attending Alvin Community College and only had one semester left for graduation. We will always feel very proud of all of his accomplishments. He touched many people in this life. Miguel will be remembered as a Houstonian Hero.
The LIFE of an Actual Houstonian Hero
By Christian Murillo
Brays Bayou Hero: As I Lose Sight Of Miguel, My Guardian Angel, It was May 10th, 2023, and Miguel and I were on a mission. A mission to conquer the world, which many of us are afraid to do. It all began by striving to take care of our health. We would work out together just like we would back in the good days growing up playing soccer. We both had one dream, and that was to become professional soccer players. Traveling to Spain together brought us so much closer. We promised each other that we would bring our family overseas. Life was great! Pushing hard to reach our goals, until unfortunately, we ran into a wall, causing us to have surgeries on our knees and ending both of our careers. Miguel and I bonding as kids, Miguel was a great cousin, caring uncle to my brothers’ kids, my parents’ wonderful nephew, and most importantly, the youngest and most loving son of my uncle and aunt. Even though we were cousins, he and I always bonded like brothers. No matter what, we always looked out for each other. That day, May 10th of 2023, I put my life on the line to try to save two kids from drowning. Miguel also decided, without thinking twice, to put his life on the line to try to make sure those two kids and I were safe during the rescue. This goes on to show how our whole family is made out of brave Houstonians. Ever since that day, I've had a hard time understanding what I could've or should’ve done differently. I sometimes wake up from my sleep with the trauma of not being there for Miguel. Situations in life will never be perfect, and we as humans have to understand that we have an end point where our body and mind connects as one freezing by comprehending failure. We all sometimes question life and death. I just want to say, God makes no mistakes. Everyday when we wake up, we have one job. That job is to be a better person than the person you were yesterday. James 4:14 says, “Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes”. Miguel, YOU are a HERO, and YOU will always live on! To whomever is reading this, I pray that you live life to the fullest every day. This next hour is not promised. Love your friends, take care of your loved ones, and pray for your enemies. Life is special, and that is the way Miguel saw it. I dearly want to fulfill the effort Miguel put in for the two kids. TO OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS, do not blame the two kids. These kids are the future, and we should continue loving and supporting future generations. God has a big purpose in life for those two children, just as big as His purpose in life for Miguel.
