Wallace E. Morris Sr.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00pm, Friday, May 29, 2015 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 10:30am, Saturday, May 30, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

Wallace graduated from Northwest Agricultural High School and attended Northwest Junior College. He entered the Army in 1952 where he served two years as a M.P. in Germany. On June 10, 1955 he married Annie K. McMichael. Wallace was then employed by Southern Bell Telephone Company and continued with them through their many name changes, finally retiring from AT&T in 1989.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Velma Traywick.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Annie Morris; children, Wallace “Gene” Morris, Jr. and wife Christina of Milton, FL, Tim Morris and wife Amy of Vilonia, AR, Tony Morris and wife Sherry of Flowood, and Carol Alexander and husband Rod of Moulton, AL; brothers, J.L. Morris and wife Pearl of Kennedy, AL, Wayne Morris and wife Betty of Clinton, Doug Morris and wife Kay of Hernando, Lamar Morris and wife Fay of Pilot Mountain, NC and Randy Morris and wife Donna of Senatobia; sisters, Sylvia Norris and husband Ferd of Frazier, TN, Frances Parker of Nesbit, and Betty Marsh and husband Ronnie of Hernando; grandchildren, Scott and Ben Morris, Rob, Ross and Riley Walden, Conner and Blake Morris, Michael and Winter Morris; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks each of you to do a kind deed for someone and say, “This is because I knew Wallace Morris.”
