Linda Nell Murphy

Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 1:00pm on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

She was born December 29, 1941 at Rush's Infirmary in Meridian, MS to the late Edna Arnold and Franklin Mayo. After her father's passing, she was adopted by the late Jerry Arnold.

Mrs Murphy retired in 1999, from the Jackson Public School System where she was a payroll specialist.

She spent retirement years traveling, going to the casinos, RV'ing and shopping at Belk. She loved food and enjoyed trying new and different restaurants.

Mrs Murphy was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Murphy Sr, her parents, Edna and Jerry Arnold and an older brother that died in infancy.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie R Gayle, Debra Murphy, Angie Reeves Garnand, Kim Reeves (Rick), Tammie Martin (Tim), and a son Michael Murphy Jr. Grandchildren, Ashton Seneca (Jeremy), Brianna McClain (Eric), Zach Gayle (Taylor), Tony Garnand (Kelly), Travis Martin (Shelley), Madison Lane (Brett), Landon Murphy Roberts and Scarlett Mitchell. Great Grandchildren Riley and Jordan McClain, Ella Grace and Warren Gayle, Calvin and Hazel Grace Garnand, and Ann Ryan Martin. She also has one surviving uncle Bobby Kelly.

She also leaves behind her companion, Levi, a ten year old long haired chihuahua. He followed her every step she made, her lap was his home and her bed was his.

Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
