Johnny L. Ray

Life Celebration Services will be held at 11:00am, today, at Brandon Baptist Church, 100 Brandon Baptist Dr., Brandon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.

Johnny was born in Collins, AR on Monday, December 23, 1935, the seventh of nine children born to the late Warren and Pauline Arnold Ray. A 1953 graduate of Drew Central High School, he married the love of his life, Norma Ann Willis, in June of 1956.

Johnny was a 59 year member of First Baptist Church of Crossett where he taught first grade Sunday school for seventeen years. Johnny served with the Arkansas National Guard and retired from Georgia Pacific after forty-three years of service.

A dedicated, Christian husband, father and grandfather, Johnny was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Norma Willis Ray; sons, Mike Ray (Linda) and Tim Ray; daughter, Johnna Cronk (Stan); sister, Linda Lindsey (Don); grandchildren, Rebekah Peavy (Jep), Hannah Ray, Jonathan Ray (Natalya) and Katherine Ray; great-grandson, Coden Ray; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
