The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. The funeral service will be held at 10:00am Friday, March 18, 2022 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow afterwards at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
He was born on June 14, 1963 in Batesville, Mississippi to William Allen Smith and Betty Jean Miley Smith. A member of Eastflow Church in Pearl, Joe was family man who never failed to put his loved ones first. His family fueled his passion for life, and he always sought to provide for them in every way possible, whether spending extra time to shop for their home goods and groceries or working overtime as a supervisor with Levi Strauss. Joe worked hard and loved harder; he loved his family more than anything else. His downtime consisted of having cookouts to gather and spend time with family and work his magic on the grill, doting on his grandkids, and fishing.
Joe was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Ann Smith.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Teresa Smith; daughter, Teena Burrell (Jimmy); son, Tim Smith; grandchildren, Noah Burrell and Katherine Burrell; brothers, Johnny Smith and William Smith; and a number of beloved extended family members and friends.
Joe will be so deeply missed.
