Dorothy "Dot" Henderson, aged 94, passed away on July 27, 2024, in Richland, MS. She was born on June 21, 1930, in Midnight, MS but lived most of her life in Pearl, MS. She lived a life marked by devotion to her family and an enduring spirit of adventure.
Dot is survived by her daughters, Gloria Windham (Tom) of Brandon, MS and Deborah “Margot” Kadoun of Pearl, MS; daughter-in-law, Sharon Henderson of Pace, FL; grandsons, Ben Windham (Tiffany), Josh Windham (Haley) of Brandon, MS, Ryan and Cody Kadoun of Pearl, MS; and great-grandchildren, Riley, Emerson, Amelia, and Dabbs Windham.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Tom Henderson; parents, Lawrence and Mary Roberts Lilly; sons, Mike and Greg Henderson; son-in-law, Tom Kadoun; and siblings, Richard and Robert Lilly and Carolyn Nix.
A cherished member of First Baptist Church of Pearl, Dot's faith was a cornerstone of her life. Her love for travel saw her and her husband, Tom, exploring the vast landscapes of the United States in their cherished RV. These journeys were among her most treasured memories, along with the simple joy of being with her family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Plain View Assisted Living for their wonderful care.
Dot's life will be celebrated in a manner befitting her impactful presence and the love she shared with those around her. Visitation will be at 1 pm followed by the service at 2 pm, July 30, 2024 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, MS.
