On November 29, 2023, Clayton Andrew "Andy" Gandy, Sr. entered Heaven and received his wings. After a very short battle with a very aggressive brain tumor, but armed with a very positive attitude, Andy passed away at home with his wife and his son by his side. Andy is preceded in death by his father C.A. Gandy and brother Roger Gandy and survived by his wife Donna Dukes Gandy, son Clay Gandy, mother Pattie Kennedy Gandy Bonifay, sister Jan Gandy Sorrels, and brother Barry Gandy.
Andy completed the Mississippi School of Radiologic Technology, returned to school and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Millsaps College, and then enjoyed a career with GE Medical as a Global MRI Specialist teaching MRI technologists around the world.
Andy spent the last five years of his life in retirement, living his life just as he dreamed, on 20 acres in the country riding his tractor and his lawn mower, planting his garden,and just sitting on his front porch looking out over his pond. Job well done Andy Gandy…. You can rest now.
