He grew up in Somerville, MA and after graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served honorably for four years. He continued his career with Eastern Airlines where he met his wife and continued to raise his family in Peachtree City, GA. He loved his family, his pets and especially his grandchildren.
Michael is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth McQueeney; two sons, Brian Michael Guyton and Paul Joseph Guyton (Felicia); three daughters, Mari Suzanne Guyton and Patricia McQueeney Dobson (Mark), Kelly Ann Rutkiewic (Joseph). He is also survived by grandchildren, William Christian Scanlon, Hartford Lee Dobson, Lincoln Mack Dobson and Anna Rachel Rutkiewic; a brother, Joe McQueeney; four sisters, Helen Richardson, Mary McQueeney, Jane McHugh, Ann Colleran and Margaret Moreland. He is predeceased by a brother, Henry McQueeney and a sister Alice Harrington and he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services for Michael H. McQueeney will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Peachtree City on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow at the Church.
