Lois Richter (Moen), a residence of Peachtree City, passed away on September 25, 2019 from a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada on May 10, 1940 to Walter and Myrtle Moen, formerly of Airdrie, Alberta, Canada. Her parents and sister Joyce predeceased her in 1997 and 2013; respectively.
Lois started kindergarten at age 4 so she would have a classmate since her school was a one-room schoolhouse. She received her Registered Nursing degree from Holy Cross, Calgary, Canada and was a pediatric nurse until she retired in Arizona before moving with her husband Jim to Peachtree City in 2005. Lois and Jim were married for 57 years. They loved traveling and have been to all but five U.S. states, eight of the ten Canadian provinces, and many European and Asian countries.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; son, Mark and daughter-in-law, Susie Richter of Milton, Georgia; daughter, Teri and son-in-law, David McGraw of Senoia, Georgia; sister, Faye and brother-in-law, Gary Anderson of Bowden, Alberta Canada; and her loving grandchildren: Megan Jordan (Conner), Brody, Lance, and Hayden Richter; MacKenzie Dalton (Michael) and Ian McGraw.
Lois was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Peachtree City. She had boundless energy and was always on the go. She loved snow skiing, water skiing, golf, walking, and shopping.
Lois will be remembered as a kind and caring soul and her family, friends, and the world lost a very special person.
