Jessie (aka) MeMaw was an extraordinary independent determined woman whom put others first. She was always upfront and honest and spoke her mind. Every year custom flower arrangements she had hand-made were donated to churches and burial sites all over North Georgia, if there was a grave site with no flowers you bet MeMaw would make sure there was flowers there the next day, year after year she donated toys to children whom were less fortunate during Christmas, MeMaw loved poetry and making her own poems, MeMaw was a heck of an artist/painter, MeMaw was married to the love of her life, Charles McKay, for 62 years. MeMaw is a true believer in Jesus Christ. She was a history teacher for 30 plus years. MeMaw loved her animals more than anything in this world. She was truly a Gem and a wonderful mother and great-grandmother and leaves behind a legacy that we will forever and always be grateful to have been a part of her life and she will be deeply missed. There is truly not enough time to describe in words how much she was adored and loved by the NEW family.
Faye is survived by her great-grandson, Michael New (Alexandria); and her beloved great-great grandchildren, Brayden, Makenna, and Noah; along with numerous family members and dear friends.
