Charlie Jay Polk

Our Jay unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, July 24, 2021. He was 82 years young.

Jay loved to travel, hunt, and fish. He treasured his time in the woods and in streams; and the hours spent with dear life-long friends. Having a wonderful sense of humor, he never met a stranger and made friends everywhere he went. He was a champion athlete in his youth with many accomplishments throughout his life. He was a Director of Construction for General Mills and later the proud Owner and Operator of Polk Construction Co. However, his greatest accomplishment was the love and dedication to his family and friends. He was a loving husband and a hero of a father. He will be dearly missed and remembered always.

Jay leaves behind his beloved wife, of 46 years, Janice Reed Polk; his sons, Steven Polk of Indianapolis, IN and Michael Polk of Gatlinburg, TN and Jay Polk of Riverdale, GA; his grandchildren, Michael Jr., Tyler, Haley, and Kaiden; his sisters, Joyce and Patricia; and numerous nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home Chapel in Peachtree City, GA on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 2:30pm.
