Vivian J. Bolen

Vivian Joan Bolen, 92, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and GiGi, was called home to the Lord on April 13, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Vivian and her husband Max celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary in March; a testament to their love and commitment to one another.

Vivian was FUN. She was quick to laugh and share a joke, spreading joy to everyone around her. She loved crafting and baking, and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. To know her was to love her. She was an active member of Eastern Star, serving as the worthy matron twice, and held many other offices and various positions throughout her time in the order.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents Sylvester and Lorella Smith, siblings Mildred (Woodrow) McLaughlin, Gerald “Sonny” (Betty) Smith, Irene (Tom) Berry, Doris (Chester) Phillips, and twin brother Donald "Bub" Smith. Vivian is survived by her husband of 72 years, Max, children Susan (Richard) Brock and Rick (Paula) Bolen, sister-in-law Barbara Smith, grandchildren Doug (Katie) Brock, Stacia (Lloyd) Woodcock, Michelle (Bobby) Gniadeck, Caetie (Aaron) Berger, and Laura (Brian) Ayres, and 9 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00pm with the funeral beginning at 12:00 pm at Tri Village Christian Church.
