John Olaf Atkins Jr., 77, of Pataskala, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, Ohio. He was born August 28, 1946 in Clifftop, West Virginia to the late Ruth and John O. Atkins Sr. John was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a true workaholic, starting his career at Weirton Steel before moving to Ohio, and went on to retire from Defense Construction Supply Center after 25 hardworking years. After retirement John started his own business, Atkins Custom Cabinets. John enjoyed fishing, collecting guns, watching television, and spending time with his beloved family. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda Atkins; and son, Matthew Atkins. Family and friends may gather from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062. A memorial service is to immediately follow beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
