He is survived by his wife, Frances Hungerford, daughter Jennifer (Michael) Ray, and bonus children Joe (Paula) Schenz and Janet (John) Hartley, along with siblings Nancy Krizek, David, Dennis (Terri), James (Elizabeth), and Carol (David) Courtaway. Curt is survived by grandchildren Lexi Baldwin, Jena (Mike) Galloway, Joey (Gretchen) Schenz, Kyle (Christa) Schenz, and Jerika (Christian) Ransomer, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lewis and Pearl Marie Hungerford, and granddaughter, Robin Schenz.
Curtis married Frances Louise Fravel on November 17, 2001. He was a graduate of George Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was a navy veteran serving 1966- 1972 on the U.S.S. John Basilone Destroyer. Curt attended the Ohio Institute of Technology. He had a career in various fields of Information Technology.
Curt was an active member of First Presbyterian Church. He was integral in organizing the lighting of the church steeple, which is the highest point in Pataskala. Curt and Fran support the church’s ministry, The Good News Club, which helps local school students learn about Jesus. Curt enjoyed touring all 30 of the Major League Baseball parks with his wife. He was an avid sports fan, including the Ohio State Buckeyes and other college sports.

Visitation is 9:30-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at First Presbyterian Church at 405 S. Main St., Pataskala, Ohio. A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m., followed by a brief military honors at the graveside at Jersey Township Cemetery. A luncheon will be held afterwards at the church.
