Carolyn June Dorman

Carolyn June Dorman, 76, of Newark, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 3, 1946 in Gallia, OH, a daughter to the late Mary Stamp. Carolyn lived for her children and grandchildren. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and hand crafting them beautiful crochet blankets. She was incredibly excited for the arrival of her great-grandchildren in September. Carolyn is survived by her loving daughters, Cheryl (Christopher) Scott and Suzanne (David) Bowers; grandchildren, Savanna (Jacob) Schlaegel, Olivia Scott, Zachary Bowers, Sydney Scott, Max Bowers and Jackson Bowers; great-grandchildren, Jameson and Charlie Schlaegel; sisters, Diana Adkins and Rose Jarrell; former husband and lifelong best friend, Jack Dorman and many nieces, nephews and close friends. In addition to her mother, she is also preceded in death by her brothers, Donnie Henderson and Teddy Swisher. Memorial visitation will be from 2:00-2:30 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Tri-Village Christian Church, 7509 East Broad St. SW, Pataskala, OH 43062. Memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the church with Pastor Paul Snoddy officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Dawes Arboretum, 7770 Jacksontown Rd., Newark, OH 43056 in Carolyn’s memory.
