Mrs. Kolb was preceded in death by her parents, Joaquin de Lizasoain y Aurrecoaechea and Rosario de Gortazar y Moronati, her husband of 57 years, Julius A. Kolb, Jr., and her siblings.
She is survived by her loving children Sylvia (Greg) Frankens, Eve (Scott) Wallis, Susanne Kolb McClelland, Sandra Kolb, and Jennifer (Wayne) Kolb, her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Kolb was born in San Sebastian (Donostia), Spain on May 31, 1926. Growing up in Spain, she loved living near the water and was an avid rower. She loved to dance and would be quick to tell you of her prowess on the dance floor. She was an exceptional seamstress who once shared a business with her sister and school friend in Paris, France. An avid classical music enthusiast, she enjoyed supporting the Houston Symphony and Opera attending many events over the years with her sisters and friends.
First and foremost in her life was her faith in God. A selfless servant of God, Teresa was a member of the Legion of Mary and faithfully ministered to the elderly, sick and homebound, bringing compassionate care and the Body of Christ through the Eucharist to those in need She was a devoted member to St Hyacinth Catholic Church for over 40 years.
As a military wife, she supported her husband and children through numerous moves overseas, across the country and during his deployment to Vietnam.
Services for Teresa Kolb will be on Friday, June 16, 2017. Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 1:30 and Mass will be at 2pm at St Hyacinth Catholic Church, 2921 Center St., Deer Park, TX 77536. Interment will follow at 4pm at Bethany Cemetery, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505.
