Ruth Porter, 89, was born in Covington, Louisiana on January 20th, 1930 and entered into eternal rest on July 27th, 2019. Ruth was born to father John Tasker and mother Claudia Tasker. She was married to her husband Carl Porter for 65 wonderful years. Ruth worked diligently as a school teacher, and loved her job, for 25 years. Ruth was a cherished member of Alpha Delta Kappa, the Sam Houston Alum, and the Houston Historical Society. Ruth had an immense passion shopping, collecting owl figurines, traveling, and a deep love for her grandchildren.
