Throughout his life, Randy always had a love for football. For the Deer Park Tigers he was a defensive lineman who responded to ‘Dove, number 80’ and also played a bit of football in junior high. After the Houston Texans were created, Randy was hooked. He even became a season ticket holder.
Randy’s infatuation for football was paralleled by his passion for baseball. As a little league catcher, he was a menacing site at home plate for any runner. He was even known to ‘play Astros’ with his friends and had a huge baseball card collection. Throughout his life he loved going to an Astros game every chance he could.
And then there was fishing, a pastime he discovered at a young age. Randy would fish every chance he got. There was something about the waves and the solidarity that he found relaxing.
As an adult, Randy was one of the hardest working people you could ever meet. A 60 hour work week was a light week for him. His path was one of the restaurant business which is never easy. Along with his dedication to his work, he found an additional family in Domino’s in 2005.
His hard work paid off. He was recently promoted to Manager of Corporate Operations and was awarded the 2014 General Manager of the Year for the entire United States. He enjoyed taking stores to the top and training individuals to be the best they could be. He led by example and was always ready to jump on the line when needed.
Randy leaves behind a son, Joseph Dove, 16, of Pasadena Texas as well a large family. The family he was born into, including a loving mother, a sister, a brother, many cousins, uncles, and aunts. And the family he made along the way. During his short visit to this world, he touched many lives in many ways. Randy exited this world on November 1, 2015. Randy was 37 years old.
