Michael (Mike) Lewis Nall, beloved husband, father, uncle and friend from Deer Park, TX, passed away at Bayshore Hospital on Friday, December 15, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Mike was born on November 30, 1950 in Galena Park, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman & Bonnie Nall, his father and mother-in-law, Herman and Ona Jean Mathews and his sister-in-law, Susan Mathews Disbrow. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jana and his precious daughter, Melissa of Deer Park. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Merri Mathews, nephews Jonathon Dewveall, his wife Melanie and their daughters, Vada and Ruby, Mathew Riddle, his wife Amanda and their son, Landen. Nieces Jennifer Riley, her daughter, Kaelyn and son Davin, Leah Dewveall & Alexandra Rogner. He is also survived by his only cousin, Ricky Stoneham and her husband Tom.
Mike was a Certified Fleet Safety Director for Dorsett Bros. Concrete Supply, Stiles Trucking and until his death, Cherry Companies. He served on the Board of Directors for TMTA, Pasadena LEPC and Pasadena Citizens Police Academy. In 2003, he won the Joe Atkinson award for Fleet Safety Director of the year. He served as a Deacon at Deer Park First Baptist Church and also served as a sound technician which he loved doing.
One of Mike’s favorite hobbies was cooking. He was well known for his delicious smoked brisket. He also loved photography and fishing.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Deer Park First Baptist Church’s building fund. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Deer Park First Baptist Church, 438 E. Eighth St., Deer Park, TX. Visitation will begin at 6 pm and the memorial service will begin at 7 pm.
