Guadalupe “Lupe” Torres Bautista long time resident of Pasadena, Texas passed away on October 6, 2016 at the age of 86. She was born in Pharr, Texas on February 21, 1930.
“Lupe” as she was lovingly called, grew up in Brownsville, Texas and married Eugene R. Baustista on September 15, 1948 they were married for 50 years. Lupe moved to Pasadena in 1963. Lupe was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a devout Catholic and passed on her strong faith to her children. Lupe was always the life of the party and her smile could light up a room. She loved music, dancing, and spending time with her family. She was a fantastic cook and she loved admiring her flowers and sitting with her pets on her patio. Lupe is survived by her brother Jose Luis Torres and sisters Gertrudis Chavez and Manuela Infante; her sons Eugene Bautista and wife Margaret; Hector Bautista; Ruben Bautista and wife Ofelia, her daughters Mary Felan and husband David and Belinda Martinez and husband James. She had 12 grandchildren 29 great grandchildren and 2 great great-grandsons. Visitation will be held at Grand View Funeral Home from 5 to 8 pm on Tuesday, October 11th with Rosary to begin at 6 pm. Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 12th at 11 am, interment to follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
