Juan “Johnny” Rafael Dominguez, of Deer Park, Texas, entered into eternal rest on November 8th, 2019. Johnny was born on March, 14th 1970 in Harlingen, Texas. Johnny was born on March 14th, 1970 in Harlingen, TX to his parents Aurelio Rafael Dominguez and Lydia Gonzales Dominguez. He attended Deer Park High school, class of 1988 and also attended the University of Houston where he studied Criminal Justice and entered the Police Academy. After graduation he was a faithful employee as a deputy with Harris County Precinct 6 before transferring to the Port of Houston Authority where he retired from in 2007. He was married to Melina Wetmore for 7 years and Michelle Taylor for 4 years. Johnny had a strong belief in his faith and God. Some of Johnny’s passions where listening to bands like Rush, The Police, and Van Halen, as well as fishing, camping, and traveling with his boys.
Johnny is preceded in death by both of his Grandfathers; Santos Dominguez and Juan L Gonzales; Grandmother Juanita Macias Dominguez; Aunt Margarita Dominguez Griffin; and two Uncles Noe Gonzales and Erineo Gonzales.
Johnny is survived by his parents Aurelio Rafael and Lydia G Dominguez; sons Kaden Ty and Jace Riley Dominguez; sister Melissa Yvette Dominguez Puckett and husband Daniel Louis; Brother Michael Anthony Dominguez; niece and nephew Jacob Ryan and Ava Elise Puckett, and various other family and friends.
Johnny was a devoted son, father, brother and uncle and loved by all. His kindness and generosity knew no bounds. His two sons Kaden and Jace were his entire world- everything he did was for them. They will always be his pride and joy and he did an amazing job raising two fine young men. Johnny was always the most reliable, honest and giving person in everything he did. He looked after everyone and gave from his heart never expecting anything in return because that’s just who he was. His heart of gold was known by anyone that came into contact with him and he always put everyone first before himself. Selfless, honest and giving, he is an inspiration to all. He will be missed but never forgotten.
