Jose Alberto Montelongo

Jose Alberto Montelongo, 75, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 5th, 2024, surrounded by his loving friends and family. He was born in Monterrey, Mexico, on January 26th, 1949, to Guadalupe Montelongo and Fermina Garcia. Jose was married to Maria Del Rosario Montelongo on January 5th, 2010, and they cherished 28 wonderful years together.

Jose dedicated 35 years of his career to Channel Ship Yard, where he served as Vice President. His commitment and passion for his work were evident to all who knew him. Beyond his professional endeavors, Jose had a zest for life and a multitude of interests. He found joy in spending time with his friends and family, indulging in his love for hunting, fishing, music, and grilling.

Jose was preceded in death by his siblings, Ramon, Juanita, Licha, and Lupita. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Del Rosario Montelongo, and. Chuy, Polo, Gueyo, Layo, Sergio, Javier, Alfredo, Jose Montelongo and Jesus Montelongo.

Throughout his life, Jose was known for his immense humor and wisdom, qualities that endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

In honoring Jose's life, let us remember his laughter, his kindness, and the joy he brought to those around him. Though he may no longer be with us in person, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A visitation for Jose will be held Monday, June 10, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A committal service will occur Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505.
