Jill Rene Benoit passed away in her home on May 20th, 2024 at the age of 59. She was born December 5th, 1965 to Herbert and Barbara Benoit in Houston, Texas.
Jill was an incredibly talented and passionate healthcare professional, ranging from EMT and first responder, to teaching the next generation to do the same as an EMS instructor. Jill’s home was often known as a ‘home away from home,’ to whom any that entered could consider her their surrogate family member, from mother, to sister.
She is survived by her husband, Greg Cowart, her daughter Desiree Lapointe and her husband Timothy Lapointe, her step-daughter Victoria Cowart, brother Mark Benoit and his wife Jerri Benoit. Mrs. Cowart also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends who often referred to her as family, so close was their bond.
She will be remembered by her loved ones for her warmth, her fiery will, and her overwhelming kindness to any and all that she interacted with.
