Jessie Doyle Rice

Jessie Doyle Rice, 93 of Pasadena, Texas was born August 3, 1928 in Bering, Texas to Jesse and Vida Ruth (Foster) Rice and passed away on May 5, 2022. He served in the United States Navy for 20 years, worked as an electrician for Anheiser Beusch for 30 years. He was one of eight children, loved to bowl and watch Fox News. He also enjoyed eating out, going to the air shows, working in his yard and his word puzzles; but he most loved being with his family and the love of his life, Ona they met at the Antlers Hotel Restaurant in Diboll, Tx in 1951.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ona Rice; daughters, Mary Nance and husband, Larry; Debbie Rice; grandchildren, Amy Bretting and husband, Daniel, Emily Wilbanks, and Corey Nance; great-grandchildren, Hadley May Bretting, Kase Daniel Bretting and Tanner Michael Biehl; and his sisters, Bennie Reinhardt and Mozelle Hardin and brother, Orlin Rice and wife, Lucy along with several nieces, nephews and family members.

Jessie is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Vida (Foster) Rice; brothers, Billy Rice and Willis Clayton Rice; sisters, Mabel Frankens and Hazel Barlow.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00pm until 7:00pm with Military Honors being held at 6:00pm at Grand View Funeral Home.
