Harold Lee Brinkley

Harold Lee Brinkley was born on March 27, 1945 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. His Mother was Louise Brinkley, and his father was Roy Brinkley. His Father passed in 1982, and his mother in 1997.

He graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1963, and also attended the University of Houston where he majored in Business Administration.

In 1965, Harold married Ramona Herndon. Their son, Shannon Lee, was born on August 29,1966. Harold worked for Lewis & Coker Supermarkets as store manager at several of their stores for 20+ years. Harold started his family business H&R Amusements in 1985 and was active in it until his death.

Harold loved to fish and spent many years on his boat, “The Dinky Me.” He also loved to play golf and bowl and he cherished his time and friendship with his dearest friend Mike Earls.

He married Suzanne Golden in 1998, who he shared his life with until the day of his death.

His survivors include his beloved son, Shannon and his wife June, his granddaughter Shawna, and his sister Mary Ann. Also, his wife Suzanne, her two children John and Cheryl and 5 grandchildren.

Harold passed away on June 3, 2014 at 6:04p.m. His relatives, his many friends and business associates will miss him.
