Elizabeth VanEtten, 87, of Friendswood, passed away on Friday, July 12th. She was born in Port Arthur, TX, on October 21st, 1936, to Stanley and Anna Stansbury. Elizabeth was married to Donald VanEtten for 27 years.
Elizabeth dedicated 46 years to a successful career in Oil and Gas, retiring from Standard Alloys and Manufacturing in 2003. She had a passion for travel, dancing, and volunteering at the bookstore at Sagemont Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Anna Stansbury, her brothers Jerry Stansbury and David Stansbury, and her husband Donald.
Elizabeth is survived by her children Rick VanEtten and Lisa VanEtten, her siblings James Stansbury and Gayle Kirkguard, grandchildren Mason Lane and Madison Lane, as well as other relatives and friends.
Elizabeth VanEtten leaves behind a legacy of dedication to family, career, and community service, remembered fondly by those who knew her.
A visitation for Elizabeth will be held Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Pasadena Funeral Chapel, 2203 PASADENA BLVD, PASADENA, TX 77502. A funeral service will occur Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 2203 PASADENA BLVD, PASADENA, TX 77502. A committal service will occur Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at External Service Location, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505.
