Donald was born in Pasadena, Texas to Oran and Vera Fluker on October 12, 1940.
Donald worked as a teacher for the Pearland Independent School District where he retired. A graduate from Texas A&M University, Donald was what anyone would call an avid Aggie. Donald relished his younger years where he worked his way up to become Chief of the Lomax Fire Department in the 1970’s. Embedded in his heart and soul, Donald continued throughout the years to listen in on the scanner for any emergencies that required the Fire Department to attend. As a hobby, Donald made certain to be present for as many emergencies as he could. For Donald, this was the highlight for any conversation starter, but more importantly, it just felt right for him to be there taking part in the action along with his brother firefighters.
For years to come, memories of Donald Fluker will be envisioning him sitting back, enjoying the sounds of Glenn Miller’s Big Band Orchestra, going down memory lane of his Army days and relishing the moments he spent with family. Donald Eugene Fluker will surely be missed but never forgotten.
Donald Eugene Fluker is preceded in death by his Parents, Oran and Vera Fluker; and wife, Vera Mae Fluker.
