Celebrating the Life of Chris Sylvester Perez, born on November 17, 1966 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Chris traveled to many states and countries until settling in Dallas, Texas to be closer to his sisters and mother until his passing on November 6, 2019. His parents were Robert Bobby Perez, Jr and Janie Lee Pena. Before he moved to Dallas, Texas in 2017, Chris lived in New York City for more than 10 years. This is where he met his husband King. They married on August 29, 2014 and shared 5 wonderful and unforgettable years. His closest friends in NYC, which he considered his second family, always knew him for his banana nut bread and extensive music and movie collection. His favorite song was Last Dance by Donna Summer. Chris was a hard worker and a proud man. He considered his coworkers as his friends and they grew to be part of his family. We will miss him and never forget his positive and spirited personality.
Left to cherish his memory, Chris is survived by his husband King Dey; his two fur babies Lucie and Pia Perez-Dey, mother Janie Pena, step mother Juanita Salazar, sisters Cynthia, Korina, Michelle, Theresa, Lily, Jenifer, and brother Freddy.
Services will be at Grand View Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 4:30pm to 7:00pm, a Celebration of Life service will be on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 10:00am., graveside services will immediately follow at 11:30am.
