Charlotte was born on November 12th, 1949 to Walter Elwood Fancett and Kathleen Fancett in Michigan. As the second of 5 children she often spoke of the many happy memories she made with her oldest brother, Gerald Fancett, brother Donald Fancett, sister Debbie (Fancett) McCann, and youngest brother, Walter Fancett Jr.
Throughout her life she touched so many people and was truly a blessing to all. Her early professional career included work at local banks and a local medical clinic, but most will remember her as a member of the Deer Park ISD administrative staff at the North Campus. Her beautiful blue eyes and smile could light up a room, and the saying “never met a stranger” has never been more fitting than it was for Charlotte. Her kindness and loving heart lead her to befriend so many people, and we know that she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Many of you shared in her joy of being together at the lake house in Jacksonville, TX. Having a house full of friends and family there to share in the fishing competitions, campfire conversations and late night card games filled her with so much happiness. For those that have been there, you will remember and cherish that feeling of togetherness and closeness that comes from sharing a small living space, tiny kitchen and a single bathroom. Charlotte always had a good story to tell about our time there, the many fish that were caught and the many that got away (all lunkers, of course).
Charlotte will be dearly missed and is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Mitch Baker; sons Brooks Baker and wife Shelley; Todd Baker and wife Renee; and her three grandsons whom she adored – Connor Baker, Tannor Baker and Trevor Baker. She is also survived by her many family members and friends.
