Barbara S. Powell, 71, passed away on January 12, 2014, in Houston, TX. Barbara loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family. She loved teaching the kids at Dell Dale Baptist Mothers Day Out. She was a member of Sterling Wood Church. She enjoyed her home, quilting, crocheting and crafting. Barbara left behind many others who loved her dearly. She will be missed dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Powell, Jr; parents, David and Iliene Seal and sister, Janel Baker. Barbara is survived by her children, Rebecca Hill, Frank Powell, III and wife Starla, John Powell, Brandi Bivens and husband Scott; grandchildren, Candice, Jack, Lane, Brandon, Frank, IV, Kassie, John Henry, Madison, Brooke and Haleigh; great-grandchildren, Chase, Noah, Kai, Donnie and Jonah; brothers, David Seal and Lloyd Seal; sisters, Garlene King, Judy Thompson, Bonnie Jarrett, Donna Miller, Brenda Lowe and Darla Wolf and numerous loving family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home. Services will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home.
