Arles Ray Orr

Arles Ray Orr was welcomed home with open arms to his Heavenly Father on April 25, 2011. Arles was born in Frederick Oklahoma on May 25, 1945. He grew up in Oklahoma with his family on the farm until he married Lois Richardson in 1965. They moved to Houston to work for Union Equity and started a family. He worked for the same company for 46 years in Deer Park and continued with them as they moved to Galveston. He and his wife raised four boys in Deer Park. Arles was involved in many community activities including participating in the Optimist Club, running community T-ball for the kids, and serving at First Baptist Church, Deer Park. While at FBC he was involved for many years teaching the 6th grade boys, leading camping trips with the Royal Ambassadors, and helping out with the youth wherever needed. He leaves behind his wife Lois of almost 46 years and his brother Jay and wife Margaret. He also leaves behind four sons: Randy and wife Sherrie; Kelly and wife Lisa; Allen and wife Lisa; and Josh and wife Sarah. He has 5 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Our Father in Heaven will reward him for his spirit of generosity that he had for helping others in need. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Deer Park, 438 East 8th Street, Deer Park, TX 77536.
