Valerie lived a good life. Full of education, enjoyment, travel, and dance. She became environmentally concerned and contributed to this field. Valerie had much love in her life. Valerie grew up in the Toronto Beaches appreciating the arts, her musical talent was playing the flute. She went to Guelph University where she graduated with a Bachelor Arts Degree. She lived in Guelph for quite some time. She met many great friends here, some life-long ties.
Valerie was proprietor of a deli in Guelph Ont. Local artist displayed their works of art at her deli. She was truly a bookworm as there are many pictures of her with a book in her hands. Valerie was a world traveler with lots of countries check off her bucket list. She lived in Ann Arbour Michigan for quite a while. She worked at the University of Michigan and dabbled in brewing and homemade wines. Valerie was married to Rob they enjoyed many years together until they parted and went their separate ways. She has traveled overseas to many countries exploring, educating, and enjoying.
One of Val´s most recent jobs was teaching children about their environment. This course was outdoors by streams and ponds in nature. She really enjoyed this assignment.
Valerie became very environmentally conscientious over the years she has worked in solar, studied carbon footprints and waste disposal.
I would rate Valerie lucky at love. As she was a people person and met people easily. The most significant relationships in her life were over 10 years. Valerie always shared her life with a pet or two. Her last pet was a cat of 21 years together. She appreciated cats and dogs along with all living creatures.
An earth girl who ate whole natural foods. She researched products before consumption and approval.
Valerie was very much a family person. She was the Eldest of many loved cousins. Whenever she was close enough, she would go out of her way to get a visit or two in, plus something fun. Valerie resided in Nanaimo B.C. and loved and enjoyed walks on the harbour and all the beauty B.C. has to offer.
The family would like to extend a Special Thank You to Peter V, during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Nanaimo area SPCA in Valerie’s name.
Rest in Peace dear Valerie, gone too young, too soon!
