Predeceased by her beloved son, Mark Allen Canning in 2003; sister, Jacqueline Aiken; and brother-in-law, Charles Columbus.
Survived by her husband, Gregory Neil Sparkes of Parksville, B.C.; her wonderful and loving daughter, Colleen Canning (Robert McGibbon); treasured grandchildren, Angus, Maude and Bridget. Also survived by her sister, Shelagh Columbus of Elmvale, ON; two nieces and three nephews.
