William L Murray

He was born July 24, 1942 in Elizabeth, WV, a son of the late William Murray and Bertha Powell Murray.

Bill worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator at Murray Sheet Metal until he retired. He also worked at Murray's Lures and Trapping Supplies with his brother, Mike. He appreciated being outdoors and loved fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed mowing and doing yard work. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners. As a Mason he served as Past Master of Wirt Lodge No. 82, A.F. & A.M. He will be deeply missed.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 30 years, Sandra McClung Murray; sons, John Almashy of Guysville, OH, Shawn (Rebecca) Almashy of Sandyville, WV, Teddy (Traci) Murray, Jimmy (Heather) Murray; daughters, Karen Barber of NC, Charlotte Walker of Elizabeth, WV; Kim (Eric) Radford, Barbie Neely; brothers, Lonnie (MaryAnn), Larry (Linda), Mike; sisters, Naomi, Sandra (Ted); several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. September 16, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Kyer officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 12 P.M. to 2 P.M. at the funeral home.Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The Masonic Lodge will conduct rights and rituals at the service.
