He was born November 8, 1937 in Rockport, WV a son of the late Raymond Morris and Lena White Morris.
Ralph was a Baptist by faith, attending Pond Creek Baptist Church. He worked for the state road until his retirement. Ralph had a profound love for the outdoors. As an avid outdoorsman, he cherished the times he spent hunting and fishing and exploring nature. His adventurous spirit was evident in his love for such activities. He enjoyed watching classic western films. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed more than words can say.
He is survived by two daughters, Melissa (Bryan) Roberts, Brenda (Frederick) Cross; sister, Susie Tucker; six grandchildren, Jacob, Lindsey, Sierra Roberts, Amber and Joey (Madison) Florence, Isaiah Cross; great grandkids, Faber, Liam, Layla, Brody, and one great grandson and great granddaughter on the way.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Phyllis Morris; granddaughter, Isabella Roberts; great granddaughters, Stella and Bella Roberts; brothers, Arthur Morris, Richard Morris, William Morris, Paul Morris; sisters, Kathleen Mays, Irene Delaney, Mildred Board, Helen Trippett, and Betty Champ.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. June 7, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Mark McCloy officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 12 P.M. to 2 P.M. at the funeral home.
