She was born September 14, 1942, in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late Newell Pinkston and Catherine Rose Henderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Peck and one brother, Newell Pinkston Jr.
Catherine is a retired teacher from Ritchie County with 23 years of service and a retired Pastor of Barlow Presbyterian with 3 years of service. She graduated from Marietta College in 1980 with the Bachelor Degree in Education; she continued her education and obtained a Masters Degree in 1987 from West Virginia University. She was a member of the Farm Bureau Women Association, Ohio Valley Limousin Association, North America Limousin Association, and National Federation of Teachers and was an elder in the church. She enjoyed shopping and traveling.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Rocky Peck and his wife Dee of Parkersburg; daughter, Bryanna Peck of Parkersburg; brother, Ken Pinkston of Dayton, OH and one sister Carolyn Pinkston of Dayton, OH
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Dunfee officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
