Bill passed from his earthly home into the arms of our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Campus under the wonderful care of Amedisys Hospice at the age of 79.
He graduated from Harrisville High School, Class of 1962 and served in the US Army then he started his 36 year career at DuPont, Washington Works and retired in 2002.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Madge Hardbarger, brother, Jim, and foster sister, Debby.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy of Washington, WV, brother, Bob of Ellenboro, WV, a daughter, Melissa of Lago Vista, TX, a grandson, Brandon (Amanda) Galici of San Juan Capistrano, CA, and a granddaughter, Megan Galici of Austin, TX.
Bill loved working with his tools, welding, and making various things, including wooden planters and dragon flies out of eating utensils. He loved just piddling. He made utility trailers, loved his tractors and took Brandon and Megan on several tractor rides.
We would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful WVU Medicine, Camden Clark nurses, staff and Amedisys Hospice, who took wonderful care of Bill and his family. A special thank you to Dr. Onestinghel, Dr. Leavitt, Dr. Shaikh and Chaplain Erik Neilsen, all who brought great comfort to us all.
Funeral services for Bill will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Lloyd Keith and Pastor Brian Long officiating. Visitation will be held from 12-3p.m. prior to the service. Sunset Memorial Funeral is honored to serve the Hardbarger Family.
