Betty L. (Johnson) Biram went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. She was born Tuesday, January 23, 1934 in Parkersburg WV the daughter of the late William Russell and Bernice Olive (Stephens) Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald (Jim) Martin Biram, her sister Patricia Life and her husband Thomas of Mineral Wells, WV and her stepmother Wanda Johnson.
She retired from the Washington WV Post Office in 1991 and ministered at the Women’s Care Center from 1993 until 2015. She had been a member of Bethel Baptist Church since 1945 where she served her Lord Jesus in many capacities.
She is survived by one daughter Marie Caltrider and her husband Joseph of Williamstown, WV, and by two sons Pastor Donald Biram and his wife Lacinda (Cindy) of Sissonville, WV and Russell Martin Biram and his wife Tina of Parkersburg, WV. She is survived by five grandchildren Joseph Caltrider Jr, Hope Janae Biram, Zerihun Biram, Nardos Biram and Hana Biram.
Funeral services and family visitation will be at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home 1934 Dupont Road, Parkersburg, WV 26101. The funeral will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 7, 2024 with Rev. Dr. Michael C. Stephens officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 6, 2024 and Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 11:00 am to the time of the service.
