William Henry Fore Jr, age 83, passed peacefully from this life October 7, 2024, at home with his wife, Donna, by his side. He was born in Houston Tx on January 8, 1941, to parents William Henry Fore and Billie McMann Fore. At the age of 17, on February 12, 1958, he enlisted in the Navy and served until January 2, 1968. He spent his career aboard two aircraft carriers, the USS Lexington and the USS Wasp. During his time on the Wasp, he took part in the recovery of the Project Gemini Astronauts as they returned from their missions. While on board ship, he performed in a band, where he was the lead singer and took part in the U.S.O. shows. He loved to share stories of his travels to various destinations which he visited while serving.
On January 9, 1996, he married his wife, Donna, in Sachse Tx. He enjoyed different hobbies such as gardening, street rods, and building 16th and 17th century style ships, using only the details of his own design. He was also a founding member of the Rods & Relics Street Rod Club and enjoyed being involved in charitable car shows and also traveling to different areas to participate in other car shows.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, William H Fore and Billie McMann Fore, baby daughter, April, son, Ti Allen Forebrother, Jeff Cox, two sisters, Terri Dukes and Billie Garza. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Donna of Reno, Tx, his son, Todd Fore and wife Stephanie of Garland Tx, daughter, Tiffany Marklin and husband Les of Sherman Tx, step-son, Matt Higginbotham and wife Megan of Wylie Tx, sisters, Frankie Fore and Debbie Theodos Fore, both of Brady Tx, and his brother, Jimmie Fore and wife Jonna of Mason Tx. He is also survived by in-laws, Clifford and Candace Campbell, Thomas and Linda Campbell, Linda and Mark Padilla and Sheila Campbell.
Grandchildren: Brandi, Jay, Jesse, Jayme, Priscilla, Jessica, Clayton, Makenzie and Luke.
Great-Grandchildren: Brooklynn, Cooper, Jayce, Emma, Langley, Jaxtynn, Parker, Chloe, Roxy, P3 (Phillip) Carter and Liam.
He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A special thanks to our friends, Bob & Pam Hobkirk, Dean & Toni Terry, & Len & Tracy Robinson who were always there to lend a helping hand.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home of Paris, TX.
