Tobias “Tobi” John Gonzales born on June 26th 2018 on his Dampa’s birthday. He departed his earthly body in the ever loving arms of his mom and dad on February 18th 2024. Forever 5 years old. After bravely and courageously fighting cancer for so long he was received into heaven in Jesus’ arms completely healed, to be heaven's best train conductor. He leaves behind his daddy Matthew Gonzales and momma Jacquelynn Jensen of the home. Big brother Ezekiel Gonzales and fiance Brailey Berryhill of Detroit TX. Sister Layla Gonzales and nephew Ma’Kai of Paris TX. Built in best friend brother and sister of the home Rhyker and Ridley Gonzales. His grandparents “Dampa” Jason Jensen “Nana” Lora Jensen, “Nanny” Melissa Nichols life long partner “Dog” Danny Cheshier all of Paris TX and Jana Wright of Corpus Christi TX. Aunts Angie Clark, Robbin Searls, Paige Bedford, Stormie Hawthorn, Jerrica Phillips, Cassie Gonzales, Uncles Mikey Gonzales, Jason Jensen Jr, Jonathan Phillips, Joel Searls, Brad Bedford. Numerous adopted aunts and uncles, Brenda Vega, Ali Coston, Taylor Landreth, Stefanie and Monty Melton, Melissa Jones, Justin Davis and, Jana Lawson. God father Dwight Johnson and “favorite person” Madi Lindsey. Leaves behind a lot of cousins.
To know Tobi is to love Tobi, His smile, eyes and outgoing personality was loved by everyone.. He loved trains, nerf guns, chicken nuggies and frenchy fries. He was proud of his job with the Reno police department Honorary Sergeant Special Heros Unit. Tobi was a favorite amongst Children's Medical Center and was constantly on the go and never in his room, saying hi to every single person he passed by while riding his ziggle.
He proceed in death by his grandfather Mike Gonzales Sr., his aunts DeeAnn Massey and Bessie Feilds, Great grandparents Sherrie Trimm, Danny Wright, Jan Haley, Richard Jensen, Barbara Clark and John Matthew Clark Jr. He was also proceeded in death by his bestfriend Alex Stephens who met Tobias with open arms to celebrate Alex’s 8th birthday in heaven with Tobi.
Pallbearers will be Auntie Angie Clark, Godfather Dwight Johnson, Cousin Cameron Lester, and family friend officer Mike Boaz. A special and grateful appreciation Goes to Rachel his hospice nurse who took such amazing care of our sweet boy to the very end.
Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21st at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with B.K. Moody officiating. Burial will follow in West Post Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5 – 7 p.m.
