Linda Sue Davidson Hines, 73, of Blossom, Texas went to be with her Savior, on Jan. 19, 2018. Linda has run her race and is now in the arms of Jesus. She was born on Feb. 2, 1944, in Deport, Texas to Smith & Tora Lela Davidson. She married Arvil “Buddy” Hines on Feb. 15, 1960.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23rd at Canaanland Church of God with Rev. Daniel Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery at Deport. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Smith & Tora Davidson, a special couple, Uncle Arthur and Aunt “Nannie” Smith, and numerous other aunts and uncles; sisters, Melba Bestul and Alva Seat; brothers; Harold Davidson, Joe Davidson, and JT Davidson; step-son, Ricky Hines; grandson, Zachary Hines; great-grandchildren; Ariella Stogsdill and Karson Nichols.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Buddy Hines; her children, Laurinda Yoder & husband Eran of Paris; Tim Hines of Blossom; Carl Hines & wife Stacy of Novice; Lela Kelley & husband David of Paris, Daniel Hines & wife Teri of Blossom; and Carolyn Ferrier & husband Ron of McAlester, OK; step-son, Terry Hines & wife Carol of Nebraska; daughter-in-law, Debbie Hines of Nebraska; along with a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she dearly loved. Sisters; Judy Booth of Blossom; LaJuan Newman & husband Carlos of Paris; Laura Miller & husband Ross of Blossom, brothers; Charles Davidson & wife Linda of Deport and Jackie Davidson & wife Suezette of Deport; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Casket bearers will be: Ricky Bestul, Marty Booth, Johnny Newman, Tony Duncan, Ronnie Seat, Chad Davidson, Dakota Davidson, JW “Bubba” Davidson, Stephen Davidson and Billy Seat.
Honorary casket bearers will be: Mike Newman, Jimmy Seat, Roy Seat, Paul Davidson, Vince Davidson and Joe Davidson, Jr.
The family would like to thank the staff of Paris Regional Medical Center and Brentwood Terrace for taking care of their loved one during these times of illness, and a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Platinum Home Health and Hospice for all they did during her last days here.
