Kenneth Earl Franklin

Kenneth Earl Franklin, age 91, of Paris, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023 in Paris. Cremation is under the care of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. A private family memorial service will be held and his ashes will be scattered by family in the Gulf of Mexico at a later date. Ken was born July 19, 1932 in Enid, Oklahoma to Walter Rolland and Helen Mae Cummings Franklin. He graduated from Enid High School in 1950 and then went on to enter the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1956. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1958 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. His career at Lockheed Martin spanned many years before his retirement. Ken married June Hargrove and they built 14 years of memories before her passing. He was an avid golfer and huge Sooner fan. He also loved to travel and did so extensively. Preceding him in death are his parents and his wife, June. Survivors include two stepchildren, Shawn Roman & husband David, and Josh Hargrove; a brother, Rick Waldroupe and wife, Cheryl; and a niece, Heather Fitzgerald and husband Michael; and his special golfing buddy, Tate Lewis. The family wishes to thank the staff of Brentwood Terrace Healthcare and On-Call Hospice for the care they provided to Ken.
