James Lloyd Armstrong, 54, of Paris, passed away Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Aldridge officiating. Burial will follow in Restland Cemetery at Roxton. The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. James Lloyd, the son of Harold Lloyd & Neva Nell Staley Armstrong, was born Oct. 21, 1960, in Paris. He graduated from West Lamar High School. He worked at the sesame plant for a short time before beginning his career in air conditioning & refrigeration. He received his certification in air conditioning & refrigeration and was a sheet metal mechanic. At the time of his passing he was working for MRG Air Conditioning. James Lloyd was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include one son, Jesse Armstrong of Como, one sister, Brenda McNeece & husband Roy of Paris, nieces, Kimberly McClure & husband Chris of Paris and Kristin Burkett & husband Daryl of Bokchito, OK, great nieces, Paige & Karli Shelton and Brylin Burkett along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Casket bearers will be: Myron Goodson, Timmy Goodson, Marshall Sugg, Phillip Blackshear, Barry Frazier, Greg Bethel, Bill Sikes & Bob Holman. Honorary bearers will be: Mark Gurley & Ryan Sloan.
