Glenda Gail Atkinson Owens, age 74, of Blossom, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024 at her home. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 10:00 am Thursday, December 19, 2024 with Evan Butler as officiant at the funeral home. A time of family visitation will be held 6-7 pm on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 also at the funeral home. Interment will be made in Red Oak Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Spradling, Bobby Spiva, Clint Pyeatt, Andy Steinruck, Robie Davis, and Kail Shepherd. Glenda was born August 7, 1950 in Paris, Texas to John Lee and Alma Burkett Atkinson. She attended schools in Cunningham. She married Charlie Owens in 1993 and together they built 31 years of memories. She loved camping and fishing, especially enjoying her time in the Carolinas as a military wife. She enjoyed going on car rides in the countryside and going shopping. She was known for her excellent cooking skills. Although church was usually the bible on the coffee table, she did enjoy going to church services for the music. But most of all, Glenda loved her boys, grandkids and great-grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Margaret Washburn. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Charlie; her boys, Johnny Atkinson and wife Crystal & Harold Davis and wife Alicia; grandchildren, Ashley Cona, Sarah Parks, Robie Davis, Christopher Davis, Candace Doggett, and Lauren Doggett; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeanie Brown; and nephews, Bobby Spiva, Adrew Blake Steinruck, and Jeffrey Steinruck.
