Barbara Ann Parker, 75, of Reno, passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2017, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Parker, the daughter of Frank & Valerie Parks Mixon, was born Oct. 1, 1942, in Clarksville. Her career in radiology with Paris Regional Medical Center spanned more than thirty years before her retirement. Barbara was a member of The Church of the Holy Cross Episcopal where she had been active in the Altar Guild. She was preceded in death by a son, Wesley Parker on Nov. 20, 2013, her parents, Frank & Valerie Mixon, and two brothers, William Mixon and John Bagby. Survivors include her husband, Tommy Parker, a son, Kris Parker & wife Stephanie of Frisco, two daughters, Bunny Parker-Talton of Arlington and Johnnie Freeman of Reno, a sister, Betty Wood of Reno, a brother, Melvin Mixon of Houston, grandchildren; Mallory Parker, Emmy Parker, Madison Parker, Reese Parker, Chloe Parker, Cassandra Parker, Whitney Hurd, Tiffany Young & husband Brandon and Parker Freeman, great grandchildren, Beckham, Jacob, Laney & Barien along with several nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
