John James Waleski Sr.

He is predeceased by his parents, Thomas Waleski, Sr. and Anna (née) Murtha and his wife, Barbara (née) Latko. John is survived by his children, Donna O'Donnell, John Waleski Jr, Daniel Waleski & Donald Waleski, four grandchildren and a great grandson. John served in the United States Airforce from 1956-60, before returning to Bayonne to start a family.

A larger than life character, he was known by and friends with many other long time Bayonne residents. He was a member of the Bayonne YMCA for many years where he enjoyed playing racquetball. Never an extravagant man, John was happiest sitting in the sun in his yard with family and friends, a hot dog and a beer. John will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

John is also survived by his siblings, Ann Marie (Wootie) Rudoph and Thomas (Sonny) Waleski Jr. and his nieces and nephews.

Per John's wishes, there will be no wake or funeral services. Cremation is private and under the direction of Neptune Cremations Society, Paramus, NJ.
