81 Years. Mary was born in Chicago IL. Daughter of Chicago Detective William Baynes and Eunice Brady. Mary spent her first 58 years in Illinois. A graduate of Muldoon High School in Rockford Il. She attended University of Illinois and Rock Valley College. On St. Patrick's Day 2012, Mary and Tom Hendricks were married at Trinity Village. Mary was very proud to be 100% Irish, being married on St. Patrick's day was the perfect date for their celebration. In May of 1969, Mary was married to Thomas G. Chudy, they have 3 children, Colleen (Tom) Jensen, Mike Chudy, and Michelle (Tim) Mathison, 4 Grandchildren: Maggie and Brady Jensen, Cal and Jill Mathison, and one Great-Grandchild, Cooper Jensen.
In 1995, Mary retired from the Winnebago County Court house where she worked as a Deputy Clerk. In 1996 she moved to Omaha to be closer to her Grandchildren and worked at U.S. Bank, in the Woodman Tower as an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist. She retired from U.S. Bank in 2008. Mary was a die hard Cubs and Bears fan. She was a longtime member of S.C.C.A. (Sports Car Club of America) where she served as the treasurer and Chief Registrar for 16 years. Mary was also a member of the Winnebago County Association of Legal Secretaries for 14 years.
While living in Omaha, Mary volunteered at Paint Nebraska, Teddy Bear Hollow, and Relay for Life. Mary was a 10 year Cancer survivor, and was very proud to help raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society. Mary in preceded in death by her Parents William and Eunice Baynes.
