Jeremiah "JB" Tassello

JB passed away on October 19, 2024, at 11:11 am, surrounded by his family, after a hard-fought battle with a rare and aggressive cancer. He was just 48, but in that time, he lived more than most people do in a lifetime. If you knew JB, you knew there was never a dull moment—he had a way of lighting up any room with his infectious laugh and big, welcoming smile. JB loved being in the kitchen, whether he was throwing down as a chef or baking something sweet for his family and friends. His meals were always a highlight, and he took great pride in bringing people together over food. If you were around JB, you were sure to be laughing, eating well, and having a great time. A die-hard fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Nebraska Cornhuskers, JB’s enthusiasm on game day was contagious. He loved his teams and loved cheering them on, whether at home or in person. He was known by many nicknames—Bullfrog, JBizzle, Big Pimpin, and Bougie Thug—each one capturing a different side of his fun-loving, adventurous spirit. JB was a master negotiator, always knowing how to strike a deal and make people laugh in the process. JB traveled the country through his work, embracing new experiences with his trademark fearlessness. He lived without hesitation, tackling life’s adventures with an open heart and mind. In his 48 years, he accomplished and experienced more than many do in an entire lifetime.

JB is survived by his loving wife, Traci; his son, Noah; his mom, Suzanne Rainey (and Jerry); his sisters, Amanda Culli (Ron) and Amber Brennan (Travis); his brother, Elliott Tassello; his grandpa, Ted Pryor; his in-laws, Kent and Pam Smith; his sister-in-law, Tricia Bergman (Dan); his brother-in-law, Todd Bera; and a whole lot of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. JB will be missed like crazy, but his spirit, his laugh, and all the good times he gave us will live on forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday November 2, 2024 at 10:30 am with a toast honoring JB at 11:11 am at the Good Life in Gretna, 10520 S 204th St, Gretna, NE 68028.
