James Morris “Kimo” Trueman, 86, of Papillion, NE (Formally of Sun City, CA.) passed on to be with the Lord on 4 April 2022.
Kimo was born 26 Dec 1935 in Oahu, Hawaii and raised by his Auntie Bobbi who taught him everything from gardening to raising farm animals and being respectful to others. His cousin Francis also had a profound influence on him in his youth. After Kimo graduated from Rosevelt High School in 1954, he joined the United States Marine Corp where he served for 22 years and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a Purple Heart recipient.
Kimo retired from the Marines and started a second career with the U.S. Postal Service in 1976
In 1977 Kimo met and married Lecretta May Robinson and they had four wonderful children, Jeanie, Bonnie, Lowell and Craig.
After Kimo retired from the Postal Service he became a well known gourd artist and he had a green thumb in the garden.
He lived a full and honoring life who would give you the shirt off of his back. He was a loving husband, wonderful father and awesome Grand father and great Papa. He had such a positive impact in this world spreading love and encouragement. He leaves a loving legacy in 4 children, 7 grandchildren, and 14 Great grand children.
