Born on May 18, 1926 in Howellville, PA, she was the oldest daughter of the late Querino and Assunta (Garzia) Ginnona. Norma graduated from Tredyffrin-Easttown High School. She crossed paths with Sam shortly thereafter, and upon completing his service in the Navy, they tied the knot in 1949, and Norma happily settled into the role of homemaker. After raising their four children, she ventured into the workforce, commencing her career at Radnor Elementary School as a cafeteria worker/cashier. Over the years, she assumed various roles and eventually ascended to the position of Secretary of Administration and Food Services, dedicating close to 20 years serving Radnor School District.
Norma was passionate about Italian-homemade cooking and baking, spending time reading, and doing Sudoku puzzles. With her loving husband, Sam, Norma was a long-time resident of Wayne PA and member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church. In their later years, the couple moved to Freedom Village Brandywine Retirement Home, enjoying a warm community of many friends. Norma was a compassionate person, who loved to make everyone feel special, and making them laugh with her quick-wit and warm smile. She will be remembered for her strength and being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her dedicated husband of 74 years, she is survived by four beautiful children: Judy, wife of Les Giersch; Samuel, Jr., husband of Nancy Farr; David, husband of Diane Graca; and Susan, wife of John Damico.
